Mito Awareness Week

Every year we raise awareness for Mitochondrial Disease, by wearing green and spreading it our social advertisement

Mitochondrial Disease is a set of genetic diseases that can cause multiple organ dysfunctions. Mitochondria provides roughly 90% of the energy needed to sustain life.

Why are we raising awareness?

We want to raise as much awareness about this life threatening disease as we can in hope that with enough research we can find a cure. Every year we join Go Green For Mitochondrial Disease, where we light up green for a week. This can be done by wearing as much green as you can, lighting green candles or putting on green lights. This campaign means a lot to us at CNCDance as one of our dancers brothers sadly lost his life to this disease after years of fighting it.

Regan was just 13 when he sadly passed and we are very honoured to have known him, follow his story and join his charity days. Regan attended nearly everything we at CNCDance hosted, he was our number one mito warrior supporter. Although Regan is no longer with us we still want to share his story, raise awareness for this charity and continue his legacy.
